What is nice to eat for RM20/ pax at The Gardens Mall? Try Crystal Jade La Mian Restaurant.

Do you have this experience like mine and asked yourself or your friend,
"What is nice to eat for RM20/ pax at The Gardens Mall?"

Couple of weeks ago, I tried the La Mian at Crystal Jade La Mien Restaurant at
The Gardens Mall, Mid Valley City, 3rd floor located next to its posh Crystal Jade Restaurant.
It serves non halal food.
Crystal Jade Restaurant also can be found in Pavillion KL, and even in China and Singapore.
I quite like the taste and found is comparable to Dragon-i Restaurant.
We ordered set D and set E.

Set D at only RM19.80. This set includes the following items:

1a: Spicy and Sour Soup La Mian with Shreded Pork and Beancurd
The gravy mixed very well, noodles made by chef was fantastic!
This set served together with side dishes as below.

1b: Jelly Fish with Spring Onion
Oh, I missed the taste already!

1c: Glutinous Rice Balls with Coconut.
Not very sweet. Just nice!

1d: Steamed Porked Dumpling (2pcs per set).
The minced pork filling was quite a comparable version to Dragon-i.
In fact i think the thin layer of translucent skin that wrap the soup inside
was indeed better than its competitor above mentioned.

Set E also at RM19.80. This set includes the following items:

2a: Soup La Mian with Vegetable Pork Wanton
My friend who is very particular about food
fared better with the soup and noodle.
I tasted the soup and was full of oomph

2b: Cold Cucumber with Minced Garlic in Sesame Oil
Hmm... The taste is enhanced by the flavour from minced garlic!

2c: Osmanthus Cake with Wolfberry
Wow... My friend said this is awesome,
it is a type of dessert used that used to be served to China loyalties.
I tasted a piece and to be frank I was not fancy to such a taste,
but is wasn't too sweet.

Overall, I would say the food has some hits and misses.
I would not mind to return and try on other items in the menu =]
