MINA invited 50 Miss Mina to participate
October 9, 2010, at 11 am
in Kuala Lumpur, Menara Hap Seng's Republic of Korea
(Korea Plaza, Ground Floor Menara Hap Seng,
Jalan P. Ramlee, 50250 Kuala Lumpur)

" Missy Mina to experience the Korean culture and good fun activities!

The message to us prior the event informed that
"all participants has a chance
to put on traditional Korean dress,
experience Korea Avenue make-up,
learning to cook Kimchi,
assorted vegetables,
seaweed rice roll,
free body fat test and
one goodies for each of participants,
and have lotsa fun. . ."

Learning to cook Kimchi, assorted vegetables,
seaweed rice roll with this teacher from Korea.
She spoke in fair english, with a little mix of mandarin.

We learned 3 dishes:
Japchea (glass noodles with stir fried vege and sesame oil)
Kimbap (Korean rice rolls sushi)
Radish Kimchi ("Kaktugi")

Korean Glass noodles
(made from sweet potatoes)

150 grams of beef (option)
1 bunch of spinach
1 medium size carrot
1 medium size onion
(5 dried shiitake and 1 package of white mushrooms)
3 cloves of garlic
7-8 green onions
soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, pepper, and sesame seeds

Makes 4 servings.


 Korean rice rolls sushi because at first glance,
they do resemble the Japanese rolls

Dried seaweed (nori)- 4 sheets
2 cups cooked rice
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp salt


1 carrot, sliced
cucumber, cut into long strips
2 eggs (into long strips)
beef (bulgogi)
1/2 pound of spinach, parboiled
pickled radish, cut into strips
imitation crab (optional)
fishcake (optional)

smoked salmon and cream cheese
kimchi and cheese
spam, mayo, and veggies
